Hyderabad Police arrests Nigerian drug peddler with cocaine worth Rs. 6.7 Lakhs

HYDERABAD: Sailors faced gusting winds and thundering clouds on Day 4 of Hyderabad Sailing Week happening at Hussain Sagar Lake. Despite the challenging conditions, the sailors showcased their skill and resilience. Ritika Dangi from INWTC (M) club won four races including 10th race in ILCA 6 (O) category and all the three races in ILCA 6 (W) Category. Bikram Mohapatra from EMESA took both the 11th and 12th races, demonstrating consistent performance throughout the day.

With wind speeds ranged from 15-17 knots, blowing up to 22 knots, making it a tough day for all participants at the races. Nevertheless the sailors delivered impressive performances. Hyderabad locals enjoyed the national sailing event at Hussain Sagar, known for its scenic beauty and cool weather.

Ritika Dangi shines in ILCA 6 (W) category

In the ILCA 6 (W) category, Ritika Dangi from INWTC (M) swept all three races (10th, 11th, and 12th), underscoring her dominance and skill. The ILCA 7 category saw Mahaprabhu A from AYN winning the 10th race, while Israj Ali from EMESA clinched the 11th race. Mohit Saini from AYN emerged victorious in the 12th race, each race showcasing fierce competition and tactical prowess.

In the ILCA 4 (Girl) category, Shagun Jha from NSS claimed both the 10th and 12th races. Manya Reddy from SSC won the 11th race, making for a competitive and exciting series. Shashank Batham from NSS won the 10th race in the ILCA 4 (Boys) category, with Eklavya Batham from NSS taking the 11th race, and Akshat Kumar Dohare from NSS securing the 12th race.

The 470 (Mixed) category featured Shraddha Verma and RK Sharma from INWTC (M) winning the 10th race. Divyanshi Mishra and Aniraj Sendhav from NSS claimed the 11th race, while Sudhanshu Shekhar and Uma Chouhan from INWTC (M) triumphed in the 12th race.

The sailors’ ability to overcome the harsh conditions and deliver outstanding performances was evident throughout the day. The excitement at Hussain Sagar reflected the competitive spirit and dedication of the participants. HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad City Police, through its Crimes & SIT division, has exposed multiple fraudulent visa schemes targeting job seekers aspiring to work abroad. The operation led to the arrest of several individuals involved in deceiving innocent victims under the guise of providing job visas for countries like the Malta, UK, Canada, and Poland.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crimes & SIT, Hyderabad, the scam operated through unauthorized consultancies such as Riyan Visas & Immigration Pvt. Ltd. located in Lakdikapul. The mastermind, Madasu Kumar, along with his associates, allegedly collected approximately Rs 7.6 Crores from around 100 victims by promising legitimate job visas. They utilized digital advertising platforms and hired unauthorized agents both domestically and internationally to attract and dupe job aspirants.

Legal actions against fraudsters

After paying hefty sums victims received fake job offer letters and Certificates of Sponsorship (COS), which were later found to be counterfeit upon scrutiny by embassy officials. This led to the rejection of their visa applications and even bans on entry for some victims. The police initiated action based on complaints filed by numerous victims.

Cases were filed against other fraudulent entities like Hexus Migration Consultancy, Anaga Career Solutions, Ray Seven Education and Immigration, Hope Stone Career Consultancy Pvt Ltd, and SRNGLOBAL VISAHELP PVT. LTD. Each case involved similar tactics of luring job seekers with false promises and collecting substantial sums of money under fraudulent pretenses.

The Hyderabad City Police issued a stern warning to job aspirants, urging them to exercise caution and verify the authenticity of consultancies before proceeding with any visa-related transactions. They advised potential victims to physically visit consultancies, verify past application documents, scrutinize job offer letters and Certificates of Sponsorship through official immigration sites, and avoid relying solely on social media reviews.

The arrests and subsequent legal actions underscore the Hyderabad Police’s commitment to protecting job seekers from falling prey to such elaborate scams. They continue to investigate further potential fraud cases and encourage the public to report any suspicious activities related to visa processing consultancies.

In conclusion, the crackdown serves as a stark reminder for job aspirants to remain vigilant and informed, ensuring their aspirations for international employment are pursued through legitimate and authorized channels only.

Hyderabad : Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) felicitated the conductor, R Saroja who helped deliver a baby girl on a bus. TGSRTC MD VC Sajjanar along with other higher officials met with the conductor and commended her for service to the lady. Further the TGSRTC has also provided the conductor a special gift acknowledging her service.

Further, as a birthday gift, the TGSRTC announced a lifetime free bus pass to the baby girl born on the bus. It is a norm in the TGSRTC to offer a lifetime free bus pass to the children who accidentally born on the Road Transport Corporation(RTC) buses. Continuing the same, the child born on the bus recently was also given the perk.

How the incident unfolded?

Going into the details, a woman, Shwetha Ratnam got into a bus belonging to the Musheerabad depot in the 1Z route on Friday morning. Swetha Ratnam got into the bus at Aramghar and by the time she reached Bahadurpura, the delivery pains had intensified. The conductor on board, R Saroja was alert and with the help of other fellow women passengers, helped the women deliver a baby the natural way. She delivered a baby girl.

Following the delivery, the patient was taken to the government Maternity hospital nearby and the daughter and the mother are put in safe hands under doctors supervision. TGRTC MD hailed the alertness and the timely response of the conductor. And said, “It is commendable to see RTC staff involved in such service oriented activities.”

Earlier, two weeks ago, a similar incident happened in Karimnagar bus depot as well. A migrant labor delivered a baby in Karimnagar bus station with the help of a bus station staff. Acknowledging the same, the Transport Minister, Ponnam Prabhakar Reddy felicitated the station depot staff, for their timely service and a reward of Rs.5000 was also given to each of them who were involved in the process of delivery.
