Telangana Junior Doctors Strike Called Off.

Hyderabad : Telangana Junior Doctors Association( T-JUDA) called off their strike after successful talks with the Health Minister, Raja Narasimha. Earlier, with several unmet demands, related to hostels, infrastructure and budgetary and stipend issues, the Junior doctors sat for an indefinite strike.

However, after the successful talks and health minister accepting the demands, the strike has been called off. In a statement released by the Junior doctors, it said, “The Telangana Junior Doctors Association (T-JUDA) extends its profound gratitude to the Health Minister for his exceptional efforts in resolving several long standing issues that have been affecting the medical fraternity for years.”

GOs issued for enhancement of medical infrastructure

Further the JUDA also informed that the government has issued multiple government orders (GOs) regarding the enhancement of medical college infrastructure.

Listing some of those, the note said, “Implementing a budget release order, a green channel for the timely clearance of stipends, ensuring that stipends are disbursed without delay for the financial year 2024-25. Sanctioning the budget for new hostel buildings at Osmania and Gandhi Medical Colleges. Sanctioning the budget for the road infrastructure improvements at Kakatiya Medical College. Amendment to the super specialty order at the earliest possible time. Moving the proposals for the college buses in the new medical colleges. Initiating the communication with the Home Department regarding SPF. “

In their statement, JUDA said, “These achievements are a testament to the Health Minister’s unwavering resolve to make the impossible possible. His proactive approach and swift actions have brought about significant positive changes, greatly benefiting both the medical professionals and the healthcare system as a whole.”

It further added, “The T-JUDA sincerely appreciates the Health Ministry under his esteemed guidance, confident that together we can achieve even greater milestones for the betterment of healthcare in our state.”
