RAJENDRANAGAR: The annual grape festival-cum-sale kicked off with much enthusiasm at the Grape Research Station of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University in Rajendranagar on Monday.

The Horticulture University has invited all grape enthusiasts to participate in the annual festival-cum-sale on their campus to not only buy varieties of grapes but also have the experience of harvesting them themselves from the grapevines.

Spread across a sprawling 3.5-acre grape garden nestled within the university’s picturesque campus, this festival promises to delight visitors until every last grape finds its way into eager hands. From esteemed elite varieties to more humble offerings, the selection boasts prices reaching up to Rs 300 per kg, catering to every palate and preference.

Seeded grapes in Hyderabad have been replaced by non-seeded varieties over the past 15 years, reflecting an increase in grape diversity. The festival not only offers freshly harvested grapes but also educates visitors on advancements in grape cultivation in Telangana.
