T’ CM launches Travel Safe (T-Safe) service for women’s safety

Features Of T Safe Service

It is the first of its kind ride monitoring service by Police in the country, which aims at making Travel safer for Women, Children and other vulnerable groups in the State.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday launched the Travel Safe (T-Safe) service by the Women Safety Wing at the Secretariat.

The service can be accessed by dialing 100 or 112 and selecting the newly introduced number “8” in the IVR option. Upon dialing, an automated link will also be sent, enabling users to access the service via the Travel Safe Application available on the Google Play Store or the T-Safe webpage. Automated alerts will be sent via the app or by call at periodic intervals while using the service. If these alerts are not responded to in the prescribed manner, they will initiate a police response. While availing the service on APP, the user can also share live location link with their loved ones. As part of future development, the Women Safety Wing announced that they will be integrating T-Safe with other application of cab aggregators and other private transport services.

Speaking at the Ocassion Chief Minister said, “ T-Safe is not just an app but a service. It does not require a smartphone or an app download to avail the service. Hence, even if a woman has a basic phone, she can avail the T-Safe service by dialing 100 and choosing option 8 to initiate ride monitoring by the T-Safe team.”
