HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and T20 World Cup 2024 winning team cricketer Mohammed Siraj will be in Hyderabad today. TDP supporters and cricket fans are expected to fill the streets as two major rallies take place in Hyderabad today evening.
Chandrababu Naidu will arrive at Begumpet Airport at 6 PM. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has organized a grand rally to welcome him to Hyderabad after record winning in 2024 Assembly elections of Andhra Pradesh. The rally will start at the airport and end at Naidu’s residence on Road No. 65, Jubilee Hills. The Hyderabad City Police granted permission for the event, specifying strict guidelines to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.
The rally will include 50 cars and 150 two-wheelers. It will travel via P&T Junction, Begumpet Fly Over, Praja Bhavan, Panjagutta Fly Over, Mokaram Jha, and the TDP Party Office before reaching Naidu’s residence. The police have limited the gathering to 300 participants and emphasized that the rally must conclude by 8 PM.
Organizers must adhere to strict conditions
The police order, issued by Additional Commissioner of Police Vikram Singh Mann, IPS, details several conditions. The rally must stay on the extreme left side of the road, leaving the other half free for regular traffic. Participants must not cause any inconvenience to the general public or deviate from the permitted route. Firecrackers, flying cameras, drones, and inflammable balloons are strictly prohibited. Organizers must also deploy sufficient security guards and volunteers to assist the police in maintaining order and regulating traffic.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj will arrive in Hyderabad at 5:10 PM by Vistara flight. Following his arrival, a victory parade will honor his contribution to India’s T20 World Cup win. The parade will start from Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital. It will pass through Mehdipatnam and ends at Edigah Maidan. Fans are expected to come out in large numbers to celebrate Siraj’s achievements.
The T20 World Cup champions returned to a grand welcome in Mumbai on Thursday. A special victory parade saw a massive crowd gathering to celebrate the team’s success. Hyderabad will witness similar excitement as Siraj, a key player from the Telugu States, is honored.
Both rallies are expected to draw significant public interest. Police and organizers are working closely to ensure that the events proceed smoothly. Hyderabad residents are advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid congestion.
