“Avoid political agendas during Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra”

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Police Commissioner, Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy called for strict adherence of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), during Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra in the Hyderabad city. Sreenivasa Reddy held this meeting with the organizers of Ram Navami processions. In view of upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Commissioner also instructed organizers not to use political agendas during the procession.

Apart from main procession from Seethrambagh temple to Hanuman Vyayamshala, Koti there will be several other processions throughout the city. So, commissioner ordered to supervise them during the Ram Navami on this month 17th. Check this tweet by Hyderabad City Police.

Reddy urged them to follow guidelines and be co-operative with police. He also informed them to ensure, festival should be celebrated peacefully across the city. This meeting with organizers and other officials held at Draupadi Garden, Seetharambagh, Mangalghat, Hyderabad.

City Police Commissioner surveyed 6.8 km route in which Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra takes place.

Police discussed regarding starting time of the yatras (processions), setting bar for the DJ systems. And avoid bursting of fire crackers, throwing vermilion or gulal on passer-by. There should be no carrying of sticks/weapons, no usage of provocative slogans, provocative banners, hate speech during yatras said police. They also instructed to use limited number of vehicles for Rama Navami Shobha yatra.

Members of Bhagyanagar Sri Rama Navami Utsava samithi, Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra, senior officials from related departments attended the meeting.
