Cyberabad: Telangana State’s Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka lambasted against Cyberabad police for laxity in investigation of a 13-year-old tribal girl’s missing complaint case. The victim was found dead after over a week of missing complaint filed in the Miyapur police station limits.

Miyapur police of Cyberabad commissionerate recovered a dead body of a 13-year-old after eight days. The girl went missing on June 7 and the family lodged a complaint with the Miyapur police. Days after she went missing her dead body was recovered from an isolated location under Miyapur police station limits.

Going further into the details the victim’s family hailing from Mahabubabad district migrated to Hyderabad in search of better livelihood. The family was staying in Nadigada thanda(a hamlet) under Miyapur limits. According to the police the victim’s father and mother went out for some work, when they returned they could not find their daughter, following which they lodged a missing complaint with Miyapur police.

Seethakka assures government support

On Monday, Minister Seethakka visited the native place of the victim, which is Lakshma Tanda, Maripeda Mandal in Mahabubabad District. Seethakka attended the funeral of the victim and consoled the family. She assured that the government would support the girl’s family.

Addressing the media during the victim’s family visit she said, “It is a very unfortunate incident. The police should enhance the security measures after receiving the complaint and would have acted swiftly. The police failed to recover any clues as informed to me.This type of laxity shouldn’t be tolerated.”

Further the minister said that the police department will keep an iron foot on the use of drugs and ganja. He asked the authorities to collect full details of the incident and punish the culprits. We will take action to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
