People's Manifesto

HYDERABAD: Colony Welfare Associations are preparing a ‘People’s Manifesto’ with unique programs to improve polling percentage. It contains details of pending issues that have been present for years in four Lok Sabha constituencies.

Welfare officials said, “The General body meeting will decide whom to vote for according to their answers. Votes will be cast only if the leaders who value their People’s Manifesto, and understand the problems in the constituencies.”

Vote Challenge:

“Campaigning programs to improve polling percentages are being held in colonies. All residents must vote and encourage their family members and relatives to do the same. By putting WhatsApp status after casting their vote and challenging others to vote, we can increase voting percentage,” said B T Srinivasan, General Secretary, U-FERWAS.

U-FERWAS requests their member Resident Welfare Associations to do the following activities:

  • Call the colony association’s special General Body meeting and administrate voter pledges.
  • Ensure each eligible voter resident has their polling station details well in advance. If any issues arise, help them get clarification from the concerned BLO.
  • Use Colony Association social media more times to push the voting percentage.
  • On polling day, request each voter to throw a Selfie Challenge to others after posting your picture in a WhatsApp group or as a personal message.
  • United Federation of Resident Welfare Associations, U-FERWAS, will provide a few flyers to do some activities by this month’s end.
