HCA suspends women's senior team head coach amid misconduct allegations

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has instructed Head Coach – Senior Women, Vidyuth Jaisimha to suspend cricketing activities pending an investigation following complaints of inappropriate behavior by women cricketers.

The decision stems from an anonymous email received by the association on February 15, 2024, containing videos allegedly depicting Jaisimha consuming alcohol on the team bus while traveling with the Hyderabad State team. These videos were subsequently circulated in various WhatsApp groups and aired on TV news channels.

In a notice addressed to Vidyuth Jayasimha, M Jagan Mohan Rao, President of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), said, “This is a matter of serious concern, and I have initiated a thorough investigation. A decision will be made based on its outcome. Meanwhile, pending the investigation, you are directed to abstain from participating in any cricketing activities on behalf of HCA.”
