Congress And Bjp Leads With Top Vote Shares In Telangana

Hyderabad: The Indian National Congress (INC) garnered a significant voting percentage of 40.58 followed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with 34.39 as per the latest update released by the Election commission of India(ECI) in the recently concluded Telangana parliamentary election 2024. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya rashtra Samithi (BRS) stood in third place with 17.19 vote share followed by AIMIM party with 2.51 voting percent. And, NOTA received a vote share of 0.28 percent.

In these elections, the counting revealed that several Congress and BJP candidates in their respective constituencies are leading with over a majority of more than a lakh votes against their rivals and going towards a winning streak.

The ruling Congress party in the state is leading in eight Parliament constituencies including, Kunduru Raghuveer from Nalgonda is closing to reach the lead of Four lakh votes, Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy from Khammam is leading with over three lakhs votes. And Porika Balram Naik from Mahabubabad leading with over two lakh votes. Further Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy from Bhongir, Kadiyam Kavya from Warangal and Suresh Kumar Shetkar from Zahirabad parliamentary constituencies leading with over one lakh votes. Vamsi Kirshna Gaddam from Peddapalle leading with over 50,000 votes and Mallu Ravi from Nagarkurnool is closing to reach the lead of 50,000 votes against their rivals.

And BJP took lead in other eight Parliament constituencies- with over two lakhs Etala Rajender from Malkajgiri and M Raghunandan Rao from Medak are leading. D K Aruna from Mahabubnagar, and Bandi Sanjay from Karimnagar are leading with Over one lakh votes. And Godam Nagesh from Adilabad. Konda Vishweshwar Reddy from Chevella, Arvind Dharmapuri from Nizamabad leading with over 50,000 votes, G Kishan Reddy from Secunderabad with around 50,000 votes.

Telangana witnessed a voter turnout of 64.93 percent in the parliamentary election, 2024.
According to the Election commission of India(ECI) data, the highest 76.78% of votes polled in Bhongir Parliamentary Constituency and lowest is 48.48% in Hyderabad Parliamentary Constituency.

Bhongir is closely followed by Khammam at 76.09, and next Medak at 75.09, Zaheerabad at 74.63, Adilabad at 74.03, Nalgonda at 74.02, Karimnagar at 72.54, Mahbubnagar at 72.43, Nizamabad at 71.92, Mahbubabad at 71.85, Nagar Kurnool at 69.46, Warangal at 68.86, Bhongir at 62.05, Pedapalle at 66.87, Chevella at 56.50, Malkajgiri at 50.78,and Secunderabad at 49.04 respectively as per the ECI data.
