JUBILEE HILLS: In a shocking incident, a heavy traffic jam occurred in Jubilee Hills after a BMW car caught fire on Nandagiri Hills main road on Saturday.

According to reports, the incident took place on Saturday evening when a parked BMW was completely burnt. The car was completely consumed by the fire. However, the reason for the fire is yet to be determined.

Fire engines rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire. However, they were hindered by heavy traffic congestion along the Jubilee Hills stretch, which disrupted and delayed the rescue operations. It is still unknown whether any passengers were injured or the car’s driver were present during the incident.

Jubilee Hills police are investigating the matter and trying to determine the reason for the fire accident. Further investigation is underway.

Hyderabad: The NoBroker website defrauded a man by withholding his Rs.45,000 token payment, which was meant for viewing and visiting the property.

Krishna Kumar, an IT professional, has claimed that NoBroker had misled him in a fraudulent property transaction, resulting in a loss of Rs. 45,000.

While speaking to Hyderabad Mail, Kumar said he found a property listed on the NoBroker website and expressed interest. A relationship manager from NoBroker assured him of facilitating the transaction, claiming to represent the property owner, who was purportedly abroad.

Krishna Kumar detailed his experience, stating that a field relationship manager arranged a hurried inspection of the flat, allowing only ten minutes for evaluation despite prolonged waiting times. Subsequently, the NoBroker representative pressured him to make a token payment of Rs. 45,000 to visit the property and to delist the property from others’ viewing. Kumar insisted on the official website for the transaction and paid through NoBroker.

“After paying the token amount,” Kumar said, “I attempted to verify the property’s legitimacy by requesting documentation from the supposed owner, who demanded an additional advance of Rs. 35 lakhs for processing documents. Suspicious of the transaction’s authenticity, I declined and sought a refund of my token amount.”

Upon requesting the refund, Kumar alleged that the NoBroker relationship manager became unresponsive despite repeated attempts to contact them via email. His efforts to clarify the situation and retrieve his funds have thus far been unsuccessful.

In a similar incident, my wife fell victim to a fake job scam. I filed a cybercrime complaint two years ago, but the authorities concerned have not taken any action or responded until now, Krishna Kumar recalled.

As of now, Krishna Kumar has not filed a case against NoBroker at the police station.

Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team, Hyderabad City, along with Chilkalaguda Police, apprehended two individuals and seized unaccounted gold ornaments and silver items worth Rs. 2 crore on June 14 (Friday).

The accused have been identified as Bajjuri Purnachander (49), son of B. Shanker Lingam, residing in Mettuguda, Secunderabad, and Syed Baba Shareef, son of Sd. Mahmood (25), a driver residing in Warangal.

Seized Gold and Silver Jewellery Details

The authorities seized 2.5 kg of gold and diamond jewellery, around 1 kg of silver, a Honda (WR-V) car, and three cell phones valued at Rs. 2 crores.

Acting on a tip-off, the Task Force police intercepted the suspects while they were transporting undisclosed gold ornaments and silver items in two boxes in a Honda (WR-V) car (Reg. No. TS03EU4579) near Aparna Oosmans Everest Apartments, Mettuguda, Secunderabad.

Upon inquiry, the accused failed to produce valid documents for carrying such a large number of gold ornaments. Consequently, all the ornaments were seized and are being handed over to the Income Tax Department for further action.

Sub-Inspectors B. Ashok Reddy, Srinivasulu Dasu, and P. Gnanadeep, along with their team from the North Zone Task Force, conducted the apprehension.
