HYDERABAD: Heavy rains in Hyderabad have caused severe water logging at several key junctions, leading to slow traffic movement and congestion. Commuters are advised to take alternate routes to avoid delays.

Traffic snarls across city due to water logging

At Ranagamahal Junction, water logging has slowed down traffic. The Sultan Bazar Traffic Police, in coordination with GHMC officials, are regulating traffic and working to clear the water logging.

Water logging near Akshaya Hotel has also resulted in slow traffic movement. Malakpet Traffic Police, along with GHMC officials, are on-site clearing the water and managing the traffic flow.

Under the RUB at Malakpet, similar issues are causing traffic delays. Malakpet Traffic Police, with the help of GHMC officials, are actively clearing the water logging.

Raja Furniture at RTC X Roads is another critical point affected, causing slow traffic between Chikkadpally and Narayanguda. Chikkadpally Traffic Police and GHMC officials are on the ground to alleviate the congestion.

At Mythrivanam Junction, water logging is also impacting traffic. SR Nagar Traffic Police, in partnership with GHMC officials, are clearing the water to improve the situation. Later, water logging cleared at this Junction.

Meanwhile, a user known as “Telangana Weatherman,” who is known for timely weather updates across Telangana state, tweeted about the impending storm, stating, “My goodness, it’s gonna be SERIOUS STORM for South Hyderabad next 1hr. A huge chain is coming from Adibatla – Nadergul side. This time it’s gonna be widespread INTENSE DOWNPOUR for most parts of Hyderabad which missed the first spell. STAY ALERT.”

Authorities continue to work diligently to manage the situation and restore normalcy. Commuters are urged to stay informed and cautious during this period of severe weather.
