Police hunt for vandals after TGSRTC bus attacked in Uppal

Uppal Tgsrtc Bus Attack

Hyderabad: Two miscreants pelted stones at a night halt bus belonging to the Uppal Depo of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) while it was stationed at Venkat Reddy Nagar in Hyderabad on Wednesday, June 25th. The attack, which was caught on camera and went viral on social media, resulted in the complete destruction of the bus’s mirror.

The TGSRTC management has condemned the incident and lodged a complaint at the Uppal Police Station under the Rachakonda Commissionerate. Police are currently investigating the case.

V.C. Sajjanar, the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of TGSRTC, took to Twitter to condemn the act. He called it unacceptable and vowed to take strict legal action against the miscreants with the help of the police department.

“TGSRTC buses are public property, and it’s every citizen’s responsibility to protect them,” Sajjanar said. “Deliberately damaging these vehicles, which serve the essential purpose of safely transporting millions of people, is senseless. The organization will take stringent legal action, with the help of the police department, against those found responsible.”

Social media users have also demanded swift action from the police and the arrest of the miscreants.
