Hyderabad Police arrest drug peddlers in major bust, seize 24 grams of heroin

Heroin Peddlers Caught In Drug Bust

HYDERABAD: On Tuesday, the Special Operations Team (SOT) of LB Nagar and Maheshwaram Zones, Rachakonda, led a drug bust, resulting in the arrest of two drug peddlers and the seizure of 24 grams of heroin along with two mobile phones.

As per the report, the accused were identified as Lal Babu Kumar, Mohammed Mustaq, Pappu Koswaha, and Aslam and a case was booked under the section 8 (c) r/w 21(C) & 29 of NDPS Act-1985, Balapur PS of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate. Lal Babu Kumar and Mohammed Mustaq, both DJ lighting operators from Hyderabad, were apprehended with 24 grams of heroin while the other two accused Aslam and Pappu Kuswaha absconded. 

Upon questioning, Lal Babu Kumar, a resident of Bihar confessed to procuring drugs from Bihar to sell them in Hyderabad for quick and substantial profits with the help of his coworker, Mohammed Mustaq, offering him a share of the profits. 

He traveled to Bihar, contacted a peddler named Pappu Kuswaha, and bought 24 grams of heroin from Aslam in Raxaul, Champaran District, Bihar, at Rs. 5,000 per gram. Upon returning to Hyderabad, Lal Babu Kumar and Mustaq awaited an opportunity to sell the drugs at Rs. 10,000 per gram. However, they were arrested by the police before they could do so, and both are now in judicial remand.

Efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend the absconding accused, Aslam and Pappu Kuswaha. Both Lal Babu Kumar and Mohammed Mustaq are being produced in court for judicial remand.
