Voting percent: Hyderabad less than 30, while Telangana crosses 50 at 3:30pm

Hyderabad: The polling percentage in the city of Hyderabad seems to pick up a little pace, as the percent of voting went up to 29 percent by around 3:30PM, but failed to reach at least half mark on Monday evening. In contrast, Telangana state voters turn out percentage crossed halfway mark. Telangana is going for the parliamentary elections for its 17 Lok Sabha seats in the state, the results of the same would be declared on June 4, 2024.

 

In Hyderabad, the number of voters reaching the polling booths has risen by afternoon. While at 10 Am the percentage of voters in the city was at 5 percent and at around 11am, it went up to 10 percent and now at 3:30 PM it was at 29 percent. Secunderabad is faring better than Hyderabad, as it recorded 34.58 percent at around 3:30PM.

It is pertinent to note that, the Telangana government has also declared Monday as a paid holiday for all the citizens to perform their civic duty. And most of Hyderabad is also emptied, as several natives of Andhra have moved to their hometowns to cast their votes.

Zaheerabad continues to retain top percent

The whole state of Telangana as an average has reported a voter percentage of 53.34 percent by 3:30Pm. Meanwhile, other districts in the state such record better percentages,

Zaheerabad 63.96 percent has the highest voters turnout closely followed by Khammam at 63.67,Adilabad at 62.44, Bhongir at 62.05, Mahbubabad at 61.40, Medak at 60.94,Nalgonda at 59.91, Karimnagar at 58.24, Mahbubnagar at 58.92, Nizamabad at 58.70, Nagar Kurnool at 57.17, Pedapalle at 55.92, Warangal at 54.17, Chevella at 45.35,Malkajgiri at 37.69, Secunderabad at 34.58.

This time, in Telangana, a tough fight is happening between various political parties. The recently elected Indian National Congress(INC) party and the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) are trying their best to secure as many seats as possible in Telangana.
