Telangana forest corporation Manchirevula camp cheers trekkers, unveils eco-tourism boost plans

MANCHIREVULA: Telangana State Forest Development Corporation (TSFDC) organized a vibrant nature camp at Forest Trek Park, Chilkur in Hyderabad over the weekend. The nature camp was attended by 30 students of Sarojini Naidu Vanitha Maha Vidhyalaya’s animal welfare club, who are nature lovers.

Kickstarting the adventure

The nature camp began at 3 pm after the enthusiasts gathered at Raintree Rachabanda in the park. TSFDC Ecotourism Officer L. Srinivas Rao and Ecotourism Projects Manager K. Suman shared insightful information and conducted educational and fun activities throughout the weekend.

An evening of bonding, exploration

The camp began with exciting team building activities including roller coasters, number stamping, Creative World and task bars. Participants embraced the camp experience and pitched their tents on the grounds. The evening began with a mesmerising lantern walk and a lively campfire where participants took part in various events.

Adventure at dawn

The early morning activities began at 5am with a bird walk, with the help of leaflets and binoculars provided by TSFDC.
Participants then embarked on a hike through the hills to Pedda cheruvu, followed by breakfast and a series of adrenaline-pumping adventure activities.

 The nature camp was attended by 30 students of Sarojini Naidu Vanitha Maha Vidhyalaya's animal welfare club, who are nature lovers.

Expressing gratitude, participant Dr. Manjusha conveyed her appreciation, stating, “We thank TSFDC for organizing this wonderful Nature Camp at Forestrek Park. We enjoyed team-building, tent pitching, campfire, birdwalk, and trekking.”

TSFDC Executive Director, Eco-Tourism Ranjeet Nayak, attended the closing ceremony at 11 am. Nayak announced the corporation’s future plans to organising nature camps every weekend at Forest Trek Park and other TSFDC parks, with proper measures, precautions, and amenities. He spoke about TSFDC’s plans to conduct alcohol-free events and asked interested individuals, providing contact details (9493549399 or 9346364583).

Plantation manager V. Lakshma Reddy, naturalists Bhaskar, Srikanth, and TSFDC staff Babu and Venkanna participated in the Nature Camp.
