Stray dog menace grips Manikonda, residents demand urgent action from GHMC

MANIKONDA: A wave of concern has swept through Manikonda as five residents fell victim to stray dog attacks in the past two days. According to the reports, the ferocity of the stray dog attacks has not been limited to children; it has also affected both women and men in the colony.

With over 100 dogs reportedly roaming Manikonda, residents are urgently seeking relief from this growing menace. One harrowing incident involved a mother and son duo attacked in Srinivasa Nagar colony while on their way to the grocery store, resulting in severe injuries.

In another disturbing case, a young man suffered leg injuries after a stray dog attacked him, and a mother was assaulted while attempting to fend off an aggressive dog. CCTV cameras in the colonies captured these alarming incidents.

Terrified by the escalating threat of stray dogs, Manikonda residents are now demanding swift and strict action from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
