SCR announces 20 Summer special trains from Secunderabad

Secunderabad: In order to clear the heavy rush of passengers travelling towards Odisha and West Bengal from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh region during summer season, South Central Railway has decided to operate 20 Unreserved Weekly Summer special trains towards Santragachi (Howrah). As per the information communicated by the South Central Railway, the special services would begin from April 28, 2024.

The train will have only unreserved coaches

Importantly, keeping in view the demand from general passengers, the train will have fully unreserved coaches, which will be able to meet the demands of general passengers for convenient and affordable rail travel during the period.

It is a weekly train which would be operated every Sunday from Secunderabad and every Tuesday from Santragachi in Howrah. The trains will start their operation with effect from 28th April, 2024. The train will also stop at all major stations enroute benefitting several passengers along the route to avail the transport services.

The details of these unreserved special trains along with their originating and destination stations, dates of service and enroute stoppages are as follows:

Train bearing number 07234 from Secunderabad to Santragachi would run ten services from April 28 to June 30 on every sunday. And train bearing number 07235 from Santragachi to Secunderabad would run ten services from April 30 to July 2, 2024 on every Tuesday.

Starting from Secunderabad, this train would have halting stations in Nalgonda, Miryalguda, Nadikudi, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Elamanchili, Anakapalli, Duvvada, Vijayanagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Berhampur, Khurda Road, Bubaneshwar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kharagpur and then reaches Sangatrachi in Howrah.

Meanwhile, the SCR also arranged some other special trains in order to clear the extra rush from Kacheguda to Hisar. The special services bearing train numbers 07055 and 07056 would run in between these destinations from May 2nd to June 30, 2024.
