JUBILEE HILLS: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Ronald Rose proposed on Thursday the construction of flyovers with dual-directional landings, specifically built to cater to the area’s specific traffic needs, in order to tackle traffic in Hyderabad.

GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose presented these recommendations during a joint inspection with Hyderabad Police Commissioner Srinivas Reddy at various important junctions on Thursday to address the city’s traffic woes.

A joint inspection, led by the GHMC Commissioner and Police Commissioner, was carried out to strategize and implement short, medium, and long-term measures to address traffic problems at Jubilee Hills check post.

The joint inspection was carried out in compliance with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s directive to officials to take steps to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the city, in collaboration with the three commissionerates.

During the inspection at Jubilee Hills check post, the team, following an examination of town planning and engineering drawings, recommended innovative plans. Ronald Rose recommended officials to craft innovative plans accommodating the future traffic needs, proposing flyovers with dual-direction landings tailored to the specific area and the inclusion of an underpass. The team also advocated for a survey, engaging consultants to analyze vehicle movement at crucial junctions during various times, enabling the formulation of a suitable plan.

Prashanthi, Traffic Police officials Subba Rayudu, Vijay Kumar, Ranga Rao, and other senior officials from the Town Planning and Engineering wing participated in the inspections.
