Rachakonda police busts Interstate drug smuggling at Choutuppal

Rachakonda Police Drug Bust Operation

LB Nagar: The sleuths of SOT-LB Nagar Zone team along with Choutuppal Police, Rachakonda busted an interstate drug trafficking Odisha, apprehended three ganja transporters and seized 280 Kgs of Dry Ganja from the accused. The arrested accused Bhosale Aba Machhindra, Avinash Shivaji Rathod and Siddha Rameshwar Pujari all hailing from Maharashtra state.

With a tip off information the SOT, LB Nagar Zone team along with Choutuppal Police intercepted four wheeler being a Fake number plate and another car at Pathangi Toll gate on NH-65 in the limits of Choutuppal Police station of Rachakonda commissionerate and apprehended three peddlers and seized contraband Ganja weighing 280 kgs from the two cars.

According to the police, The accused Bhosale Aba Machhindra had discontinued his intermediate studies. After intermediate he worked as cleaner on a lorry, later learnt driving and eking his livelihood by working as driver. The accused Avinash Shivaji Rathod @ Avi recently completed 12th class and discontinued his further studies and presently working as driver. The accused Siddha Rameshwar Pujari alias Sidhu studied up to SSC and working as driver.

Investigation revealed that the three persons along with their common friend Ajay Rathod hatched a plan to gain easy money by illegal means of procuring and selling Ganja. Previously they procured Ganja from Alurikota, Alimela Tehsil of Malkangiri district, Odisha State and disposed of it for higher price and gained huge money. Accordingly as per their plan, Ajay Rathod contacted Teja from Odisha, a Ganja supplier and the four mobilized funds and paid money to Teja.

On 23.06.2024 the accused went to Alurikota, Odisha from Solapur via Hyderabad, Khammam in two cars Innova vehicle having Fake number plate AP28AE5902 and 2) Swift Dzire- MH08AN3438, which were arranged by Ajay Rathod, where the accused Teja arranged the contraband Dry Ganja weighing about 280 KGs. The three accused loaded the Ganja and left from Odisha State via Vijayawada AP – Suryapet – Choutuppal – Hyderabad, (Telangana) – Solapur, Maharashtra State.Meanwhile police intercepted and arrested them. Further police sent the accused to judicial custody and further investigation is underway.
