HYDERABAD: Prudhvi Raj, famous for his stage name for ‘30 years in the industry’ denies the non-bailable arrest warrant issue from the Vijayawada Family Court and claims them as rumors on Thursday. He also added that he will file a defemation case on whoever spread this fake news.

Earlier, there were rumors saying that the Vijayawada family court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Telugu film actor Prudhvi Raj.

It was learnt that Srilakshmi allegedly approached the court in 2017 requesting monthly maintenance of eight lakh rupees. She alleged that while Prudhvi Raj was establishing his film career, her family bore all the expenses. She further claimed that Prudhvi Raj allegedly harassed her and eventually forced her out of their residence in 2016.

Srilakshmi said that her husband earned Rs. 30 lakh per month from movies and TV serials. The court ruled in her favour in 2022, ordering Prudhvi Raj to pay Rs. 8 lakh monthly in maintenance along with covering earlier court fees.

However, Prudhvi Raj allegedly failed to comply with the court’s order, leading to the issuance of a non-bailable arrest warrant.

Prudhvi Raj was previously active in the YSR Congress Party (YCP) till 2022. Even held the position of SVBC Chairman till 2020. He later left the YSR Congress Party amidst controversies and joined Janasena party.
