Senior BRS leader, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy joins Congress in the presence of CM Revanth

Hyderabad: Giving another blow to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi party, senior leader Banswada MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy joined the Indian National Congress (INC) on Friday. Telangana state Chief Minister and TPCC president Anumula Revanth Reddy visited Srinivas Reddy’s residence on Friday in the morning hours along with Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and other Congress leaders and invited him to join the party. Following the visit, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and his son Bhaskar Reddy joined the Congress on Friday.

CM Revanth Reddy said that his suggestions will be taken for the welfare of farmers and he will be given a respectable position in near future. Speaking after the meeting Revanth Reddy said, “As part of the rebuilding of Telangana, we met Pocharam Srinivas Reddy. We have asked them to stand with us in rebuilding Telanagna. Pocharam joined the Congress for the welfare of Telangana farmers. We will take his suggestions on the welfare of the farmers and move forward. He will be given due respect in the future. We will seek his guidance in completing the incomplete projects in Nizamabad district”.

For the progress of Agriculture, I joined Congress, says Pocharam

Shortly after joining the congress party Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said, “I am a son of soil. I welcome the programs the new state government is doing for the welfare of the farmers. For the progress of Agriculture in the state, I decided to join the congress party under the leadership of Revanth Reddy. And seek the welfare of the farmers, to make the farmers’ life better and solve their problems.”

Pocharam Srinivas Reddy contested from Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS) for Bansawada assembly constituency in the recent Telangana concluded state general elections 2023 and secured 76,278 votes and won against Eanugu Ravinder Reddy of Indian National congress (INC) with a margin of 23,464 votes.
