‘We are witnessing undeclared emergency’: KTR on Krishank arrest

Hyderabad/Tarnaka: Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader, K Taraka Rama Rao condemned the alleged arrest of BRS social media convenor Krishank. Earlier on Wednesday, Krishank took to social media and said that Crime Inspector Choutuppal was sitting in his car and taking them to the Choutuppal police station. And he wondered why.

Krishna was stopped while he was returning to Hyderabad from Kothagudem to participate in Press Conference of KTR. Police stopped Krishank’s vehicle at Panthangi Checkpost. According to his post, he was stopped for 30 minutes, stating that higher officials would come.

Speaking to the Hyderabad mail, Osmania University police Station House Officer Ramesh Naik stated that they have taken Krishank into custody on Wednesday. He further added that he was arrested under Section 466 (forgery) along with other sections under the Indian Penal Code.

It can be noted that Krishank was arrested after allegedly circulating a ‘fake circular’ related to the Osmania University hostels and messes pertaining to the year 2023. Following which, the chief warden of the OU hostels filed a police complaint in the OU police station.

KTR condemns arrest of BRS leader Krishank

Condemning the arrest of Krishank, KTR on his X account said, “Krishank’s arrest is atrocious and illegal! Krishank is the voice of people’s movements, a symbol of Dalit consciousness, and a reflection of youth. Krishank is arrested only because he questioned gully Congress party’s failures and Delhi BJP’s oppressions. Congress and BJP will pay a heavy price for their joint witch hunt. These dictatorial acts will be punished in the Telangana people’s court. Then, we saw an emergency. Now, we are witnessing an undeclared emergency. The Congress-BJP will meet the same fate as faced by the then rulers for their onslaught on democracy. Our legal team is pursuing the matter and we will make sure justice will prevail.”
