Ou Hostel Controversy Court Grants Bail To Brs Leader Manne Krishank

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) social media convenor, Manne Krishank was granted conditional bail by the Nampally Court and released from Chanchalguda jail on Friday.

Speaking to the media after being released from Chanchalguda jail, Manne Krishank said, “The Congress government conspired against me to not campaigning in the upcoming elections. BRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao questioned the issue of Osmania University hostel closure. But Chief Minister Revanth Reddy posted a fake circular of Osmania University misleading the public of Telangana. We (BRS) have posted the original circular and questioned the veracity of the circular posted by CM”.

How the University issue turned political

It is pertinent to note that controversy erupted in Osmania University after students sat in for a protest demanding for adequate supply of water in the hostels. Soon, the OU chief warden declared holidays and mentioned that there is a shortage of electricity and water facilities in the campus and asked for cooperation from students. However, the issue turned political when BRS supremo KCR took the issue to his social media account and posted about it on X (formerly Twitter), accusing the Congress government for lack of electricity.

“On one hand Congress media workers were arrested by Hyderabad police in a doctored video case of Amit Shah and resealed immediately. On the other hand I was lodged in jail for around Ten days. People should contemplate over this” said Manne Krishank.

Osmania University police station filed a case against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader, M Krishank for allegedly posting fake information based on the complaint from Chief Warden of Osmania University. The complaint was filed against the BRS leader, Krishank under 466 (Forgery of record of Court or of public register), 468(Forgery for purpose of cheating), 469(Forgery for purpose of harming reputation) 505 (1)(C)(Statements conducing to public mischief) under Indian Penal Code (IPC). Later he was arrested by the Osmania University police and sent to judicial custody.
