HYDERABAD: In a demonstration staged on Wednesday, numerous female students at Osmania University voiced their grievances in front of the Ladies Hostel Complex in Amberpet. Alleging the presence of insects in the hostel-served food, the protesting students cited stomach issues as evidence.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the hygiene standards of the provided meals, the students claimed to have raised the matter with the administration over the past two to three months, but their concerns were allegedly ignored. Additionally, the students asserted that the administration resorted to threats of admission cancellation when issues were raised.

Demanding an immediate resolution to the reported problems, the protesting students called for the removal of Hostel Director Kalyana Lakshmi from her position. The situation underscores the urgency for the administration to address and rectify the alleged food quality issues impacting the students’ well-being.
