IMD issues Orange warning for heat wave in Hyderabad for next two days

Hyderabad: The Indian Meterolgocial Department (IMD) has issued a special bulletin to alert the public for the upcoming heatwaves in the state of Telangana. Almost the entire Telangana is going to witness heatwave conditions for the next five days till May 3, 2025. The maximum temperatures are set to be in only above 41 degrees to 44 degrees celsius, forcing the IMD to issue an orange warning, advising the people to be prepared.

While there is an yellow warning for April 29, there is an Orange warning starting April 30 to May 3, as heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in many places in several pockets of Telangana. Here are the daywise and place wise details of Orange warning as follows:

On April 30, 2024, an Orange warning has been issued as the heat wave conditions likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Warangal, Hanmakonda districts of Telangana.

On May 1, 2024 an Orange warning has been issued as Heat wave conditions likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupapalalli, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthi, Narayanapet, Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana.

On May 2, 2024, an Orange warning has been issued as heat wave conditions likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupapalalli, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthi, Narayanapet, Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana.

On May 3, 2024, an Orange warning has been issued as heat wave conditions likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Komarambhi, Asifabad, Manchiryala, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagityal, Rajanna Sirisilla, Karimnagar, Peddapally, Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthi, Narayanapet, Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana.

Two days of Orange warning to Hyderabad

Meanwhile, the city of Hyderabad is also issued an Orange warning on April 29 and April 30 as temperatures are expected to soar upto 44 degrees celsis. And the next three days after that, an yellow warning has been issued, as temperatures are expected to be between 36 to 40 degrees celsius.
