Bangalore based MDMA Smuggling racket busted in Hyderabad, five arrested

Drugs Seized Bangalore MDMA Smuggling Racket

Madhapur: Packing the MDMA drug in small paper boxes and concealing them within envelopes, handing these packages to private bus drivers for a meager Rs 100 each to smuggle it through state borders and collected by the customers- this is the modus operandi devised by Gosangi Venkata Sai Charan a graduate from Bangalore. The police have identified 50 customers of Hyderabad, AP State and Karnataka State. Further notices are being served to all the travel agencies

The sleuths of Telangana Anti Narcotics bureau busted Bangalore based MDMA drug racket and arrested five in connection with the case. The police have seized 12.72 grams of MDMA. According to the police, On credible information when the accused Venkata Sai Charan has come to Hyderabad to supply MDMA drug to his regular customers, he is apprehended while he is in possession of 12.72 grams of MDMA and registered a case at Madhapur Police Station, Cyberabad. Along with the accused four customers were arrested – Mallik Lokesh, A.Sandeep Reddy, B.Rahul and S.Subramanyam

Investigation revealed that the main accused Venkata Sai Charan is native of Nellore town of Andhra Pradesh state has completed his graduation in Bangalore and doing drug (MDMA) supply to more than fifty customers in Hyderabad and Nellore, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Vizag of Andhra Pradesh.

Explaining the elaborate scheme devised by the accused to traffic MDMA across state borders,” Based in Bangalore, the accused Venkata Sai Charan used to has employed a covert method of packaging the drug in small paper boxes and concealing them within envelopes. Further these envelopes were handed over to drivers of private travel buses plying from Bangalore unauthorizedly by giving them Rs.100.Upon reaching their destination, customers in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka retrieve the packages directly from the drivers. Police listed out the travel bused used by the accused -Morning Star Travels, Rajeshwari Travels, GVR Travels and Cherry Travels are identified, through which the accused had transported drugs to Hyderabad”.

Further police served notices to all the travel agencies, that the buses will be seized and cases will be booked against the travelers if they unauthorizedly accept any parcels. Dog squads are being deployed to check the buses and luggage. Further investigation is underway.
