“KCR used MLAs poaching case to compromise BJP”

Kcr Used Mlas Poaching Case To Compromise Bjp

Hyderabad: Former Deputy Commissioner of Police (Task Force) Radha Kishan Rao, accused in the illegal phone tapping case, confessed to a scheme orchestrated by former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). Rao referred to KCR as “Peddayana” and revealed that KCR intended to use the 2022 Moinabad farmhouse MLAs poaching case to pressure the BJP into a compromise. This move aimed to protect KCR’s daughter, MLC K. Kavitha, from the Delhi liquor scam investigation.

Radha Kishan detailed the events leading up to the poaching case, which culminated in a failed attempt by Telangana police to arrest BJP senior functionary B.L. Santhosh. “Peddayana was angry for not completing the ‘work’ as per his expectation. I will not disclose further details as I owe a lot to Peddayana,” Radha Kishan stated in his confession.

Surveillance and entrapment operation

Tandur MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy informed KCR about BJP members attempting to recruit him and other BRS MLAs. In response, KCR ordered the Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) to conduct surveillance. SIB’s former Deputy SP, D. Praneeth Rao, intercepted phone calls and provided audio clips to KCR. The former chief minister then ordered the police to set a trap and instructed Rohith to cooperate.

The entrapment led to the involvement of Nanda Kumar, a hotel owner, and two swamijis, Ramachandra Bharati and Simhayaji, at the Moinabad farmhouse. Task Force sleuths reportedly bought spy cameras for the operation.

Failed attempt to arrest BJP leader

KCR formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and planned to arrest BJP national leader Santhosh to strengthen the case. This effort aimed to leverage the case to alleviate the ED investigation against his daughter. However, the operation faltered due to some Cyberabad police officials’ inefficiency, allowing an important person from the Mata Amritanandamayi Institution to escape. SP Rema Rajeshwari led a team to Kerala, but they failed to apprehend the wanted individual, as detailed in Radha Kishan’s confession.

Radha Kishan’s confession has exposed a significant political strategy involving illegal surveillance and entrapment. This revelation raises serious ethical and legal concerns about the use of state resources for political maneuvering.
