Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has kickstarted an online survey for increasing the bus services in the IT Corridor. The survey was shared by the VC Sajjanar, Managing Director of TGSRTC through his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on July 3, 2024.

In the post, the MD called out all the software employees to participate in the survey. “Software employees! Conducting a survey TGSRTC to bring you better, quality transport services in the IT corridor.” And further asked the employees to fill the form and added that the link would ask for the travel information as well as advices and suggestions.

It further added that as per the information provided by the consumers, through this survey, special buses will be arranged in the IT corridor. “The organisation is appealing to everyone who commutes to the IT corridor to participate in this survey,” said the post.

In a poster attached to the X post, it said, “Calling all IT heroes! We are revamping your commute! This quick form helps us understand your bus needs to get you to the office feeling refreshed and ready to code. It only takes a few minutes to fill out. Your feedback is vital for a smoother, more convenient ride.”

What questions are being asked in the survey?

It is pertinent to note that the survey is asking for information related to your daily commute. Some of the questions that the form asks the individual to fill in are as follows, age, gender, how do you commute to office, how many times do you commute to office in a week, preference of AC and non-AC services, features required in TGSRTC like bus tracking, reserved seat, audio system and others, where are you travelling from?, where are you travelling and any other suggestions that one would like to give it to TGSRTC.

Hyderabad: Recent dog attacks in Telangana have sparked concerns regarding managing stray dog populations. In the latest incident, a young boy was injured after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs while playing outside his residence in Sangareddy district. The incident, captured on camera, was swiftly intervened by neighbors, saving the boy from fatal injuries.

This incident follows the tragic death of six-year-old boy Vishal, who was mauled by stray dogs near a dump yard in Isnapur, Patancheru. Vishal’s parents, migrants from Bihar working at a nearby construction site, when he was attacked by three stray dogs, resulting in fatal neck bites. The boy succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

In another incident in Chitrapuri Colony of Manikonda, a woman out for a morning walk was attacked by a pack of dogs in a parking lot. CCTV footage of the incident shows the woman bravely defending herself against the aggressive dogs. Fortunately, she managed to protect herself after a fierce struggle.

Reacting to the video footage, the woman’s husband expressed deep concern over the menace of street dogs and appealed to citizens not to feed them, suggesting that such feeding encourages the dogs to gather in residential areas. He emphasized that while his family loves dogs and owns two pets themselves, the unchecked presence of stray dogs poses a serious threat to public safety.

“My wife went for a walk at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning. She was brutally attacked by many dogs. This is not just our problem, everyone needs to consider it,” he stated.

He continued, “If you love dogs, adopt them and care for them in your homes. But feeding street dogs leads to situations like this. My wife almost lost her life in this attack. Imagine if it was someone elderly or a child. Would they have survived? Please think and take action. Today it happened to us, tomorrow it could happen near your home.”

Authorities in Manikonda reported that they have collaborated with Blue Cross, a partner organization, to capture nine dogs from the area for sterilization and vaccination at an animal care facility. Following the procedures, the dogs will be returned to the streets.

Cherlapally: The Telangana Prisons Department had released 213 prisoners on Wednesday as per the government orders. Further the Telangana Prisons Department has provided jobs in the My Nation Filling Stations to 67 released male convict inmates and 3 female prisoners.

Going further into details, 213 convicted prisoners of Telangana prisons lodged in prisons across Telangana, who have been languishing in prison for long duration, were granted premature release by the Telangana Government. On this day, the Telangana prisons have conducted counselling programmes and Job Mela for the released prisoners.

Also addressing the gathering was N. Murali Babu, Inspector General of prisons(Welfare), Telangana, Hyderabad, who has stressed that , “A total of 213 convict inmates comprising 178 Male and 35 Female inmates were granted premature release. The Telangana Prisons Department has provided jobs in the My Nation Filling Stations to 67 released male convict inmates and 3 female prisoners released female convict inmates and also distributed sewing machines to (08) released female convict inmates. As part of their reformation, the convict inmates have the facility of Higher education through the Dr. BRAOU Study Centre.

The Home Department – Prisons has released the order.In an order dated July 2, 2024, it is said that “The Government has taken a policy decision to grant special remission to life and non-life convicted prisoners who have been convicted for offenses against laws relating to matters to which the executive power of the state extends.”

Further, it also mentioned that all the eligible candidates were scrutinized by a scrutiny committee under the chairmanship of the Principal Secretary to Government, and further recommended the list of candidates to the government. “The committee after detailed examination of each prisoner’s case has recommended the premature release of a total 231 cases.”
