Hyderabad:Former Armoor MLA and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS)Ashannagari Jeevan Reddy booked by Chevella police of Cyberabad commissionerate in a land encroachment case.

Based on the complaint from Sama Damodhar Reddy, Chevella police of Cyberabad commissionerate booked the case. According to the complainant, he purchased 20 acres 20 guntas land in the outskirts of Earlapally village in the year 2002. And constructed a function hall and he is in possession of the land. And his adjacent land belongs to former MLA Ashannagari Jeevan Reddy and his wife named Ashannagari Rajitha, and his mother Ashannagari Rajubai.

However, his land is now allegedly encroached and the function hall has been demolished, laments the complainant. “Last year, Ashannagari Jeevan Reddy encroached his land and demolished the function hall and constructed a new building. On Wednesday when they went to their field some of the henchmen of Jeevan reddy obstructed them while they entered into their land and threatened them with dire consequences by showing deadly weapons” said Complainant.

Victim was also threatened

Subsequently, the complainant approached Chevella police and requested to take action against Jeevan Reddy who occupied their land and also threatened the complainant with dire consequences. Chevella police of Cyberabad commissionerate booked a case under sections 447(Criminal trespass), 427(Mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees), 341(Wrongful restraint), 386(Extortion), 420(Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 506(Punishment for criminal intimidation) of Indian penal code and further investigation is underway.

It is pertinent to note that earlier TGSRTC officials seized the Jeevan Mall, owned by former Armoor MLA Ashannagari Jeevan Reddy for defaulting Rs 2.51-crore lease amount. TGSRTC MD V.C. Sajjanar said that they cancelled the lease agreement between TSRTC and Vishwajeeth Infra due to default in lease amount. After issuing several notices, the Jeevan Mall management failed to clear the dues.
