Indic International students champion road safety at traffic awareness drive

KOMPALLY: In response to recent unfortunate accidents involving school buses and students in Hyderabad, ACP K Venkat Reddy took the initiative to organize a traffic rules awareness program at Indic International School, Kompally.

The event, coordinated by Gopi Sikder of Cyberabad Security Council, aimed to educate children on the significance of adhering to traffic rules and safety precautions while boarding and deboarding school buses.

During the program, ACP Venkat Reddy used multiple videos, animations, and clips of actual accidents to emphasize critical road safety rules. Topics covered included the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, obeying traffic signals, maintaining lane discipline, and safeguarding oneself on the roads. The engaging presentation resonated with students, who pledged to not only follow the rules but also encourage their parents to do the same.

Ashish Naredi, Chairman of the school, expressed gratitude to ACP Venkat Reddy and Gopi Sikder for their proactive initiative. Hema Surapaneni, Director of the school, commended the police team for effectively raising awareness among students. Mithu Nag, the Principal, promised to conduct refresher sessions and additional safety initiatives for the students.

The highly interactive 45-minute program concluded with a resounding cheer of thanks for ACP Venkat Reddy, his police team, and Gopi Sikder. The collaborative effort aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and promote road safety within the school community.
