Hyderabadi suspected to be dead in Russia – Ukraine war

HYDERABAD: Days after the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said India is trying its best for an “early discharge”, Mohammed Imran, The brother of 30-year-old Hyderabadi Mohammad Afsan received a phone call from an official claiming to be from the Indian embassy, stating that Afsan had been killed in Russia-Ukraine war.

Mohammed Asfan, along with several others, was allegedly misled by agents and recruited to assist the Russian army as ‘Helpers’

Hyderabad Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi confirmed that Afsan’s brother received a call, and officials also stated that they are trying to retrieve the body back to India.

Owaisi said, “There is one more boy, Mohammed Sufiyan, a 23-year-old from Narayanpet district, Telangana also stuck in Russia. Similarly, 23-year-old Hemil Ashvinbhai Mangukiya from Gujarat was killed in a Ukrainian airstrike in the Donetsk region on the Russia-Ukraine border. There are two from Kashmir and three from Gulbarga, and a few others from Punjab are also stuck. The Indian government should bring them back safely.” He also said agents are exploiting the jobless and taking them to Russia.The agents are targeting the youth of Hyderabadi’s and Misleading them in the name recruitment and making them to take part in the Russia-Ukraine War.
