Hyderabad faces traffic slowdown due to severe water logging

HYDERABAD: Heavy rains have led to severe water logging in various parts of Hyderabad, causing significant traffic slowdowns. Commuters are advised to take alternate routes to avoid congestion.

At RUB Malakpet, traffic movement is slow due to water logging. Malakpet Traffic Police, in coordination with GHMC officials, are actively clearing the water. Similarly, in front of Medivision Eye Hospital, traffic is moving slowly. Asif Nagar Traffic Police are regulating traffic while GHMC officials work to clear the water.

In Osmangunj, Goshamahal Traffic Police are managing the traffic and clearing the water in collaboration with GHMC officials. Amberpet Traffic Police are also regulating traffic on Moosarambagh Bridge and assisting in water clearing efforts with GHMC.

Water logging at NFCL Junction has caused traffic to slow down. Panjagutta Traffic Police, along with GHMC officials, are working to alleviate the situation. In the Mahaveer Hospital lane in Saifabad, traffic is moving slowly due to water logging. Saifabad Traffic Police, with the help of GHMC, are clearing the water.

Sultan Bazar Traffic Police are managing traffic and clearing water logging at Jambagh Road. Falaknuma Traffic Police are addressing water logging by removing clogs at Chatrinaka. Additionally, Kachiguda Traffic Police, in coordination with GHMC officials, are clearing water logging at RUB Nimboliadda.

The heavy rainfall has affected South and Central Hyderabad, though rains are gradually reducing in these areas. However, other regions such as Alwal, Bowenpally, Tirumalagiri, Malkajgiri, Kapra, Neredmet, ECIL, Secunderabad, Maredpally, and Moulali are experiencing heavy rain. The Telangana Weatherman, Balaji, known for his accurate weather updates, tweeted, “Rains slowly reducing in South, Central Hyderabad, meanwhile Alwal, Bowenpally, Tirumalagiri, Malkajgiri, Kapra, Neredmet, ECIL, SEC-BAD, Maredpally, Moulali getting HEAVY RAIN as expected, will reduce by 6.30pm. Enjoy the much needed rains 😍🌧️.”

Traffic Police across various zones are working diligently with GHMC officials to clear water and regulate traffic. Commuters are urged to stay updated on traffic advisories and take alternate routes to avoid heavily congested areas.
