Hyderabad police seize Rs. 4.17 lakh worth fake cosmetics in Begumbazar; owner arrested

BEGUMBAZAR: 4.17 lakh rupees worth fake cosmetics were seized by the police in Begumbazar. The Commissioner’s Taskforce, East Zone Team, in collaboration with Shahinayathgunj Police Station, apprehended the owner of ‘7 Stars Cosmetics’ at RK Plaza, Begumbazar, on Thursday for selling counterfeit cosmetics.

The accused Tabir Ahmed Lasker, the owner was caught red-handed selling counterfeit cosmetics masquerading as genuine Maybelline products.
Fake Maybelline Cosmetics Seller, ArrestedHe procured duplicate Maybelline products such as Lip balms, Kajal eyeliners, Fit Me Powders, Lipsticks, and Foundations from Mumbai – all cleverly packaged as authentic – posed serious health hazards to unsuspecting consumers.

The police confiscated a considerable quantity of counterfeit Maybelline products, including 1650 pieces of Maybelline Baby Lips Balm, 288 pieces of Maybelline Kajal, 97 pieces of Maybelline Fit Me Powder, 68 pieces of Maybelline Fit Me Lipstick, and 9 pieces of Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, with a total worth of Rs. 4,17,097.The police seized all the fake cosmetics.

The arrests were carried out under the supervision of various police officials, including Ande Srinivasa Rao, A. Nagarjuna, Kaviuddin, P. Nagaraju, and personnel from Shahinayathgunj Police Station.
