Hyderabad Police Busts A Job Fraud

Hyderabad: North zone task force team of Hyderabad commissionerate busted a fake job racket and arrested a fraudster. The fraudster was luring the potential jobseekers under the guise of providing railway jobs.

The probe revealed that the accused Suryadevara Anil Kumar despite previous arrest in the same kind of job frauds he didn’t mend his ways and continued his cheating. The accused in one case cheated a victim to a tune of Rs. 10 lakhs under the pretext of providing a Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) in South central railway(SSR), Secunderabad. In another case, he siphoned Rs 85,000 under the assurance of facilitating the purchase of a software company.

Going further into the details, The accused used to obtain victims’ phone numbers through social media chat groups and lure them with backlog posts for Inspector rank in the Income Tax Department and TTE (Group-C) in the South Central Railway.

Fraudster offered jobs in Railways and Income tax department

“In one such case the scamster, deceived potential government job seeker, Shaik Hussian by promising him an Inspector job in the Income Tax Department at Patna. Believing his assurances, Shaik Hussian traveled to Patna, where he received a fake joining letter,” said Hyderabad police in an official statement.

Later, Anil Kumar offered him a position at the South Central Railway in Secunderabad. Under the guise of training, Shaik Hussian worked as a Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) for Six months under the guidance of TTE Naveen Kumar, for which Anil Kumar collected Rs. 10,00,000, added Hyderabad police in statement. After realizing that he was cheated, the victim approached the police and lodged a complaint with Gopalapuram Police.

Similarly in another case the accused deceived another jobseeker A. Rajesh by promising to facilitate the purchase of a software company for him, collecting Rs. 85,000 but failing to deliver. He also approached the police for legal action.

After receiving the complaint, Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team, Hyderabad City jumped into action and credible information zeroed-in on the accused along with Gopalapuram Police, apprehended Suryadevara Anil Kumar, who deceived gullible individuals aspiring for railway jobs.

Hyderabad police appealed to the public to remain vigilant against fraudsters promising fake job opportunities and business deals, and to verify all offers with official sources before making any payments.
