This year also marks the return of multi-class regattas, expected to attract a diverse range of sailing enthusiasts. This is seen as a positive step towards increasing the popularity and competitive spirit of sailing in India.

Before the main event, powerboat courses and a YAI Coaching Camp for NCC cadet sailors from across the country were held, demonstrating the event’s inclusive nature. The camp also placed a special emphasis on training female sailors. It included sessions for children from the BASS Orphanage, aiming to cultivate a love for sailing among the younger generation.

Organized by the EME Sailing Association and the Laser Class Association of India, the 38th Hyderabad Sailing Week aims to promote sailing not only within the Indian Army but also throughout the country.
