Hyderabad cyber crime police books case over fake Rahul Gandhi speech post

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad’s Commissioner’s Task Force and Begum Bazar Police apprehended three interstate drug peddlers near Gandhi Bhavan Metro Station. They seized 1.275 kg of hash oil, a motorbike, and four mobile phones, totaling Rs. 8.65 lakhs in value.

Arrest and seizures details

Acting on credible information, the South West Zone Task Force team and Begum Bazar Police intercepted the peddlers on their Access-125 bike near Bheem Rao Bada, Nampally Road. They seized 1.275 kg of hash oil, worth Rs. 7.65 lakhs, from the accused. The hash oil was packed in one plastic cover (950 grams) and 65 small plastic vessels (325 grams in total).

The arrested peddlers are identified as Korra Babu alias David, Chandan Kumar Choudhury alias Dinesh alias Anil, and Yaddhnapudi Dhanraj. Korra Babu, the supplier, hails from Anthruguda village in Andhra Pradesh. He sourced the hash oil from Odisha to supply to Chandan Kumar Choudhury, a main peddler from Dammaiguda, Hyderabad, and Yaddhnapudi Dhanraj, a sub-peddler from Baghlingampally.

The seized items include an Access-125 motorbike with the registration number AP09CJ4819 and four mobile phones: an iPhone-13, an Oppo, a OnePlus, and a Samsung Galaxy M32. The total value of the seized items is Rs. 8.65 lakhs.

A case has been registered against the accused persons at Begum Bazar Police Station under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985.

Appeal to the public

In recent times drug usage and abuse is increasing day by day in youth. For the same, the Commissioner’s Task Force appeals to the public to stop using drugs and substance abuse. They request parents to monitor their children’s daily activities to prevent them from falling prey to drugs. The police urged public to report any information regarding drug abuse, drug trafficking to the police.

The arrests were made under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police YVS Sudheendra and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police A. Srinivasa Rao. South West Zone Task Force Inspector S. Bala Swamy, SI B. Ajeeth Singh, Inspector G. Vijay Kumar, and SI Y. Sai Theja Reddy of Begum Bazar Police Station played crucial roles in the operation.

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) conducted a joint operation with Kanchanbagh, Asifnagar, and Habeebnagar police stations. Police apprehended ganja suppliers, transporters, and peddlers, seizing 155 KG of ganja, a Scorpio vehicle, a passenger auto, and nine mobile phones. All the seized items valued at Rs. 61 lakhs. The operation followed credible information leading to the arrest of eight accused individuals.

Details of the operation and arrests

The first case was registered at Asifnagar PS. The second case was registered at Habeebnagar PS, Hyderabad. The third case was registered at Kanchanbagh PS. All these cases are registered under NDPS Act 1985.

The interstate ganja supplier, Manajit Dhali alias Jitu, from Malkangiri, Odisha, was previously arrested for supplying large quantities of ganja. His associates, Anil Dhanaji Ghante, Sushanth Mistry, Sumanth Mandal, and Prasanjith Mistry, all from Malkangiri, Odisha, were also apprehended. They have a history of involvement in large-scale ganja supply and are facing trials in multiple cases.

Ganja transporter and local supplier

Chinna Rathod Govind from Sanga Reddy District transported the ganja. He was previously arrested by Maredumilli Police in East Godavari District. The local ganja supplier, S. Lakhan Singh alias Goru, from Mangalhat, Hyderabad, is a known rowdy sheeter. He has been involved in several bodily offenses and NDPS cases and is currently facing trials. Lakhan Singh procured ganja from Manajit Dhali and supplied it to sub-peddlers in Hyderabad, earning significant profits.

The local ganja peddler, G. Devraj Singh alias Kalu, from Asifnagar, Hyderabad, was also apprehended. The seized materials included 155 kilograms of ganja, a white Scorpio vehicle, a passenger auto, and nine mobile phones.

The police appeal to the public to refrain from substance abuse and advise parents to monitor their children’s activities. The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) requests any information on drug abuse to be reported at 8712661601. The aim is to secure a drug-free Hyderabad.

The arrests were made under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police YVS. Sudheendra, along with inspectors K. Srinivas, G.S. Daniel, C. Venkata Ramulu, and staff from HNEW, and SHOs G. Shekar Reddy, T. Ram Babu, and G. Venkateshwarlu from Kanchanbagh, Habeebnagar, and Asifnagar police stations.

HYDERABAD: Day 2 of the Hyderabad Sailing Week brought even more excitement and challenges than yesterday. Sailors faced gusting winds and thundering clouds. The weather, characterized by rain and wind speeds ranging from 14-18 knots, with gusts up to 21 knots, tested the sailors’ skills and determination. Despite these adversities, the participants demonstrated remarkable resilience, navigating through the difficult conditions at Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad.

The day started with gusting winds that pushed the sailors to their limits. Hyderabad’s residents enjoyed the spectacle of the national sailing event amidst beautiful rain and cool weather. The lake, true to its name, showcased waves and sea horses, adding to the scenic beauty of the competition.

Sailors overcome adversities to secure wins

In the ILCA 7 category, Mohit Saini from AYN dominated all three races of the day, showcasing his superior sailing prowess. In the ILCA 6 (Open) category, Ritika Dangi from INWTC Mumbai and Bikram Mohapatra from EMESA displayed their skills, with Dangi winning the fourth and sixth races, while Mohapatra took the fifth race.

The ILCA 6 (Women) category saw Ritika Dangi from INWTC Mumbai securing victories in both the fourth and sixth races, while Laveti Dharani from TSA won the fifth race. In the 470 (Mixed) category, the duo of Shraddha Verma and R K Sharma from INWTC Mumbai triumphed in all three races, showcasing their excellent teamwork.

In the ILCA 4 (Boys) category, Ankit Singh Sisodiya from NSS won the fourth race, Eklavya Batham from NSS won the fifth race, and Akshat Kumar Dohare from NSS took the sixth race. The ILCA 4 (Girls) category saw Somya Singh Patel from NSS winning both the fourth and fifth races, while Shagun Jha from NSS won the sixth race.

The 38th edition of the Hyderabad Sailing Week kicked off on a grand note on Tuesday, July 2nd, marking a significant event in India’s sailing calendar. Lt. Gen. JS Sidana, AVSM, DGEME, Senior Colonel Commandant, and Patron of the EME Sailing Association, graced the opening ceremony.
