Special drive for garbage collection in Malkajgiri next ten days

Malkajgiri: In a bid to transform the city of Hyderabad into a model city for garbage collection and management, the Malkajgiri division has come up with a comprehensive 10-day action plan.

Over the next ten days, starting from Sunday, a targeted approach will be taken to ensure every road in the Malkajgiri division receives special attention. This focused 10-day plan represents a significant step towards achieving a cleaner and healthier environment in Malkajgiri, setting a precedent for other divisions to follow informed Malkajgiri corporator V Sravan from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Speaking on the same Malkajgiri corporator V Sravan said, “The objective of making Greater Hyderabad a model for garbage collection and management, Malkajgiri division has been modeled and a 10-day action plan has been prepared”.

This initiative kicked off with a meeting held at the Secunderabad Zonal Office, attended by key officials including additional commissioner of sanitization Upender Reddy, DE Madhavi, superintendent of police Srinivas, Nagaraj and other officials with full information regarding the division garbage issues.The meeting, led by Malkajgiri Corporator Sravan, focused on strategizing and detailing the action plan for effective waste management across the division.

Special plan prepared for garbage collection

During the meeting officials discussed enhancement of garbage collection, increased frequency of waste disposal, and the deployment of additional sanitation workers. Malkajgiri Corporator Shravan said, “In the next 10 days, a special plan has been prepared to collect garbage on each road, deploy additional manpower, create awareness programmes with people to make garbage free (GVP), garbage collection on both morning and evening”.
Furthermore, this initiative aims to raise awareness among residents about the importance of proper waste segregation and disposal.

Educational campaigns and community engagement activities will be conducted to encourage active participation from the local population.

The issue of Garbage and its disposal has become a challenge in several localities of Hyderabad and the residents keep complaining about them on the social media platforms.
