GHMC repair stalls trigger traffic chaos in Balkampet

Ghmc Repair Works Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The residents in a state of frustration are grappling with the challenges posed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) as they have left the repairing works, which is blocking half of the road and causing a significant amount of inconvenience to pedestrians and motorists near Gayatri Supermarket at BK Guda Junction, Balkampet.

While speaking to Hyderabad Mail, Krishna Chaitanya, a resident of Balkampet, expressed his helplessness, saying, “This is regarding the drainage lid, which was damaged long back. I have complained numerous times to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), but no action was taken. In the past two to three days, they have started repairing, blocking half of the road and causing a lot of inconvenience to pedestrians and motorists. It is near Gayatri Supermarket BK Guda Junction.”

Krishna Chaitanya pointed out that the ongoing repair of the drainage lid has resulted in significant traffic congestion at this location. Furthermore, the area becomes inundated with standing water during rainstorms, leading to waterlogging and an unpleasant environment.

Chaitanya further said that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) ‘s negligence, which should have been addressed before the monsoon season, is causing great inconvenience to the public all over the city.

The resident, Krishna Chaitanya, requested that the concerned authorities respond and take up the unfinished repair works as early as possible without causing any further delays.

Krishna Chaitanya took to ‘X’ or Twitter and posted, “@GHMCOnline, this needs your attention immediately. This is near Ratnadeep Supermarket BK Guda Junction, which blocks half of the road.”
