HYDERABAD: Amid data privacy concerns, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is looking to implement an artificial intelligence-driven mobile-based facial recognition biometric attendance system for 25,000 employees, including outsourcing staff in Hyderabad.

At present, GHMC uses the Aadhaar-Based Bio-Metric Attendance System (ABAS), which relies on fingerprint authentication using Aadhaar-enabled handheld devices. However, this system is internet-dependent and faces challenges like faded fingerprints.

In view of technological advancements, GHMC desires an AI-driven mobile-based facial recognition biometric attendance management system to overcome existing challenges.

GHMC has invited e-procurement to identify eligible, experienced, eminent, and qualified agencies with the desired technical capabilities for implementing and maintaining an artificial intelligence-driven mobile-based facial recognition biometric attendance management system.

The corporation seeks private entities to develop a comprehensive AI-driven mobile-based facial recognition biometric attendance management system.
