Gachibowli Surrounding Areas Receive Rains In Hyderabad

Gachibowli: In this summer month, once again the city of Hyderabad has witnessed rains in Hyderabad on Monday. Several areas in the city, inlcuding Gachibowli, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Jeedimetla, Madhapur, Lingampally, Bachupally, Chandanagarm Begumpet, and other areas have received a moderate spell on Monday afternoon.

With rains have left several low-lying areas inundated with rain water. Traffic jams have also been reported in several places, as the office goers have started returning to their homes from work places. With the rains from afternoon, the Hyderabad Traffic Police have already advised the commuters to drive carefully to avoid any untowards incident.

Meanwhile, several users residing in the areas of Gachibowli, Hitech city and others also took to social media to share the current condition of the rains in their respective localities. A user said, “For the Past one hour it has been cloudy ,drizzling, Thundering in Domulguda.” several others have also said that rains spanned about 30 minutes to one hour in their respective areas including, Kondapur, Gachibowli among others.

IMD issues Yellow and Orange warnings

Earlier in the afternoon, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a rain and thunderstorm warning. In its notice, the IMD has issued an Yellow warning and stated, “Light rain and light thunderstorms with maximum surface wind speed less than 40kmph” are expected to be in the places including, Hyderabad, Jogulamba Gadwal Khammam, Medchal Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Wanaparthy among others.

Meanwhile, some other places, including Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Rangareddy, Sangareddy and Vikarabad received an orange warning. For these places, IMD stated that they would expect “moderate rain and moderate thunderstorms with maximum surface wind speed between 41 to 61kmph.”

For the past one week, the city of Hyderabad is receiving rains and the maximum temperatures have also dropped down from their normal temperatures. Meanwhile, a maximum temperature of 36 degrees was recorded in Hyderabad.
