BJP bags three of the four parliament seats in the Hyderabad limits

Telangana Bjp Chief Leads With Over 30,000 Votes From Secunderabad Parliament

Hyderabad: As the voting results came to an end on Tuesday, the national party, Bharatiya Janata Party managed to secure three out of four parliamentary seats in the limits of Greater Hyderabad.

Those who emerged victorious include Union minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy, Eatala Rajender and Konda Vishweshwar Reddy from Secunderabad, Malkajgiri and Chevella constituencies respectively.

G Kishan Reddy won the Secunderabad seat with a majority of 49,944 votes. He contested as Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) candidate from Secunderabad parliamentary segment and garnered a total of 4,73,012 votes. Kishan Reddy’s voting share has increased from 42.05 in 2019 to 45.15 in 2024 parliament elections.

Eatala Rajender won the Malkajgiri seat by a margin of 3,91,475 votes. He emerged victorious from Malkajgiri parliamentary segment by a margin of 3,91,475 votes. He has garnered a total of 9,91,042 votes securing the first position.

Konda Vishweshwar Reddy won the Chevella seat with a majority over 1,50,000 votes.Further Reddy who contested from Chevella parliamentary segment garnered a total of 4,73,012 votes. In the 2024 election, Reddy secured 8,09,882 amounting to 48.34 percent vote share.

K Madhavi Latha lost despite fierce battle

Those three seats were won by the BJP, it could not breach the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen(AIMIM)’s bastion of Hyderabad parliament seat.

Though, for the first time, BJP fielded a female candidate from the Hyderabad constituency- Madhavi Latha Kompella, despite her fierce efforts, she lost the election. Asaduddin Owaisi from AIMIM emerged victorious with a majority of three lakh votes more than the majority of 2014 and 2019.

Other seats won by BJP in the state

In addition to these three Hyderabad seats, BJP also won another four seats in the state. Overall BJP won eight Parliament constituencies, the others who won include – D K Aruna from Mahabubnagar, Godam Nagesh from Adilabad,Bandi Sanjay from Karimnagar, M Raghunandan Rao from Medak, Arvind Dharmapuri from Nizamabad.
