KCR gets ECI notice for making insulting remarks against Congress

HYDERABAD: Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued notices to former Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao over his misleading claims and derogatory comments against congress leaders in Siricilla on April 5.

Whereas, TPCC vice president, G. Niranjan filed a complaint against KCR stating that he made vulgar, derogatory and objectionable allegations against Congress Party on April 6th.

Commission prima facie found that by making the remarks on April 5 in Sircilla have violated the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct and advisory/instructions of the Commission.

The Commission has directed Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana to look into the matter of complaint against KCR. Following this CEO of Telangana has sent factual report to Election Commission of India. In this report District Election Officer, Rajanna Siricilla district stated that K. Chandrasekhar Rao, President, BRS has made certain remarks during press meet in Siricilla on April 5th. According to this report KCR has made certain allegations. They are

  • A congressman told to sell Nirodhs for survival. Are they sons of dogs to say for the selling of Nirodhs and papads
  • This situation has occurred because the ‘Lathkhors’ who have not aware the capacity of water, are ruling the kingdom, while the incompetent ‘Chavat Daddhams’ are in the kingdom
  • Your Government is the government of ‘Lathkhors’. You won by 1.8 percetnage votes by speaking lies
  • It means that you are Pakka Chavatas, Daddammas, Chetakani Chavatas. (You are useless fellow); and
  • If you fail to give five hundred bonus we will bit your throats.

Whereas, Election Commission of India has asked KCR to give an opportunity to explain his stand in respect of the above remarks by 11 AM, on 18th April, 2024.
