Early arrival of Summer? Hyderabad hits 40 degrees in March

HYDERABAD: March has just begun, yet it feels as though summer is already upon us. The weather in Hyderabad city has taken a sudden turn, with temperatures soaring to a scorching 40 degrees. This marks the first time Hyderabadites have experienced such sultry conditions so early in the year.

The mercury peaked at 40.1 degrees in the Shaikpet area of Hyderabad, closely followed by 39. 9 degrees in Begumbazar , 39.7 degrees in Uppal, 39.6 degrees in Asifnagar, and 39.5 degrees in Saroornagar on March 13, 2024.

Alampur in Jogulamba Gadwal district recorded the highest temperature, as reported by the Meteorological Department, reaching a sweltering 41 degrees. Other districts in Telangana also experienced high temperatures, with readings hitting 39 degrees.

According to IMD, Nalgonda recorded 40.9 degrees, Siddipet 40.8, Nizamabad 40.5, Jagtial 40.5, Nirmal 40.4, Suryapet 40.1, and Hyderabad 40.1 degrees.With this the Telangana region is experiencing early summer in March.
