HYDERABAD Foil Hashish Oil Trafficking: The Special Operations Team (SOT) of the Balanagar zone and the Medchal police on Sunday arrested three individuals for their involvement in procuring and distributing contraband drugs, specifically Hashish Oil in Hyderabad.

The main accused, Gollu Kumara Swamy, originally from Golugunta, Andhra Pradesh, had relocated to Hyderabad in search of employment. Struggling with inadequate earnings, he devised a scheme to sell Foil Hashish oil in Hyderabad and its neighboring regions. He contacted Ganja/Hashish oil supplier Nageswar Rao alias Nagu, from Thuni. Kumara Swamy then enlisted the help of his friend, Kodi Ajay Kumar, from Golugunta to receive the Hashish oil from Nagu and deliver it to him in Hyderabad, enticing Ajay Kumar with monetary incentives.

Following Kumara Swamy’s instructions, on March 29, 2024, Ajay Kumar and his friend Lokavarapu Swamy Ganesh traveled to Thuni on their Pulsar Bike with registration number AP 40 BH 5056, collected the contraband from Nagu, and returned to Hyderabad on March 30, 2024, and met Kumara Swamy in the Gandimaisamma area before proceeding to Medchal. However, their plans were thwarted when, on March 30, 2024, near Delicious Food Court, police conducting routine vehicle checks intercepted them.

Prior to this incident, Ajay Kumar had been earlier involved in two Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS) cases in Andhra Pradesh. The police urged citizens to report any information related to drug suppliers to the police and ensured confidentiality of informants.

Additionally, educational institutions are encouraged to monitor student activities and promptly report any suspicious behavior related to drugs.
