Cyberabad police arrests four men in Tragic wall collapse case
Nizampet/Bachupally: Cyberabad police arrested four men in connection with the tragic wall collapse case at Bachupally resulting in the death of seven members including a four year old and leaving seven other injured.
Cyberabad police identified the arrested accused – Venkana Aravind Reddy (Builder and owner of RIZE Constructions), Murugesan Sathish Kumar (Site Engineer),Mariya Francis Xavier Raj (Project Manager), Dhadiyala Rajesh (Contractor), Allu Ram Reddy (Contractor).
On an unfateful evening of May 7, during a heavy downpour, a retaining wall of which is 30-40 feet at a construction site belonging to Rize Developers in Kousalya Colony, Bachupally, collapsed. And fell on the makeshift labour camp sheds which was next to the compound wall leading to the death of seven and injuring another seven members. The seven deceased were identified as Ram Yadav(44) and his wife Gitabal(40) and their 4 year-old son, Bindresh Bhavani chauhan(30) and his wife Kushi(20), Sankadeb Goud(18) and Sripah Majhi(23).
Overnight rescue operation -Seven dead bodies recovered and seven injured rescued
After receiving information about the compound wall collapse, Bachupally police rushed to the spot and took up rescue operations. Balanagar Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) said, “the police and other staff of Bachupally police taken-up rescue operation in the night time from 7 PM to 5 AM under the supervision of ACP, Kukatpally and SHO, Bachupally in heavy rain, identified 7 dead bodies and the police themselves lifted the dead bodies into the ambulance during the night and another seven persons got bleeding injuries they shifted to Mamatha Hospital for treatment, presently they all are safe”.

Police have arrested six persons in connection with Tuesday’s wall collapse at an under-construction site at Bachupally, which claimed seven lives.

Based on the complaint from Udal Ram Yadav a labourer at the site, a case was registered under 304-II (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder),337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) r/w 34 of Indian Penal Code(IPC) against the construction company owner and others at Bachupally police station and investigated by Assistant commissioner of police(ACP) Kukatpally division. Further police arrested the Four accused on Wednesday and produced before the Court for judicial remand.
