Criminal case filed against KTR for false allegations

Criminal Case Against Ktr

A criminal case has been filed against KTR (Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao), the Working President of BRS, at Banjara Hills Police Station. The case was lodged following a complaint by Congress leader Batthina Srinivas Rao, alleging that KTR accused CM Revanth Reddy of transferring 2500 crores to Congress leaders.

Criminal Case Filed Against KTR for Alleged Defamatory Statements Against Chief Minister:

The police registered the case under sections 504 and 505(2) of the IPC at Banjara Hills Police Station. The complaint, received as a Zero FIR, stated that KTR made false allegations against the Chief Minister without any evidence, potentially causing unrest and discord between political parties. The complainant, Bathini Srinivasa Rao, a member of the Pradesh Congress Committee, urged legal action against KTR for tarnishing the reputation of the Congress party and undermining the Chief Minister’s credibility.

The incident allegedly took place at the BRS Party office in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, where KTR purportedly insinuated that CM Revanth Reddy had illicitly amassed funds and planned to defect to the Bharatiya Janatha Party after the Lok Sabha elections. The criminal case filed against KTR, initially registered at Hanumakonda Police Station, was later transferred to Banjara Hills for further investigation. Sub-Inspector of Police K.Venkatesh registered the case under CR.no 349/2024 and assigned the investigation to SI P.Ravindar.
