Cleanup Drive At Golkonda Fort And Khajaguda Hills
Hyderabad: The cleanup drives took place at Golkonda Fort and Khajaguda Hills on June 9 (Sunday) to celebrate World Environment Day.

Khajaguda Hills Clean-up Drive:

Waste Project Community organized a cleanup drive at Khajaguda Hill on June 9th. The Hyderabad Cycling Revolution members and the Society to Save Rocks were invited to participate.
Khajaguda Hill serves as a significant vantage point for observing sunrise and sunset. While it attracts numerous visitors seeking to admire these natural phenomena, it has also become a site for some to engage in activities such as alcohol consumption and improper disposal of waste, particularly plastic and bottles, thus contributing to environmental degradation. Notably, a commendable initiative saw approximately 100 individuals participating in a cleanup drive, with voluntary support from East Man Company.

She stated, “It is every citizen’s duty to protect our natural and architectural heritage. We must work tirelessly to ensure that future generations have a healthy and beautiful environment. Dhruvansh Organisation has been restoring lakes in Hyderabad since 2016. Help us to serve more.”
The Hyderabad Cycling Revolution joined the clean-up effort, helping by collecting plastic. Mohammad Haseeb from the Hyderabad Cycling Revolution talked to the volunteers about Golconda Fort’s history and culture.
