Chevella MLA joins Congress

Hyderabad: In another significant blow to the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS), MLA Kale Yadaiah has joined the Indian National Congress. The announcement came during a meeting in Delhi on Friday, where Yadaiah formally joined the Congress in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and AICC in-charge Deepadas Munshi. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed Yadaiah into the party by honoring him with a shawl.

Six BRS MLAs have joined the Congress in Telangana so far, and according to sources, more are expected to join soon.

This follows closely on the heels of senior BRS leader Pocharam Srinivas Reddy’s move to the Congress last Friday, June 21. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, and other Congress leaders visited Srinivas Reddy’s residence earlier in the day to extend the invitation. Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and his son Bhaskar Reddy joined the Congress, citing their commitment to the welfare of Telangana farmers.

After the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy expressed confidence in Srinivas Reddy’s contributions, stating, “As part of Telangana’s rebuilding, we seek Pocharam’s guidance on agricultural welfare and unfinished projects in Nizamabad district. His suggestions will be pivotal in moving forward.” Pocharam Srinivas Reddy affirmed his decision, emphasizing, “I am committed to the progress of agriculture in Telangana and look forward to contributing under the leadership of Revanth Reddy.”

Additionally, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, and MLA Uttam Padmavathi paid tribute to PV Narasimha Rao on his 103rd birth anniversary at Telangana Bhavan in Delhi, honoring the late leader’s legacy.
