BRS Intensifies Protest Against NEET, Sieges Raj Bhavan in Somajiguda

Hyderabad:The Bhartiya Rashtra Samithi(BRS) intensified its fight against the NEET fiasco and laid siege to Raj bhavan, Telangana’s governor official residence in Somajiguda on Tuesday. Hyderabad police took the BRS student leaders into preventive custody.

BRS Student Wing (BRSV) laid siege to Raj Bhavan to protest NEET question paper leak. Students demanded immediate cancellation of the NEET exam.

The group of students holding placards reading ‘Justice for NEET UG students’, ‘Fraud NTA’ raised slogans against the Central Government. Some of the students tried to barge into the Raj bhavan by scaling the main entrance gate but were stopped by the Hyderabad police and Raj bhavan security staff.

Brs2Speaking during the protest BRS Student Wing (BRSV) state president Gellu Srinivas Yadav said, “The NEET exam should be canceled immediately. If Central Ministers Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay do not respond to this immediately, we will set into a large-scale movement under the leadership of BRSV in the coming days.”

Further he demanded that Telangana state Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to respond against the NEET exam irregularities. “If the Chief Minister does not respond, we will also besiege his office,” said Yadav.

Seconding the same BRSV State vice president Thunga Balu who was also part of the protest said, “Central and state governments are not sincere about the future of students.The Governor should take initiative and solve this problem”.

Panjagutta police stopped the students from reaching the Raj Bhavan and took them into preventive custody. “If they were not taken into custody they might have committed any cognizable offence. Following which they were taken into preventive custody under 151 CrPc and shifted to Goshamahal stadium,” said police.

Meanwhile BRS leaders Vinod, Kopulla Eshawar and others held a press meet and demanded ED should take up the investigation into NEET fraud and conduct a comprehensive investigation into the irregularities of NEET examination.
